2004-01-14 + 5:11 p.m. So school finally started. (The first week was cancelled due to snow. What kind of a weird kid am I - dissapointed by school days?) Now I know it is not at all uncommon for students in a foreign language class to be forbidden to speak English. But how many of you have been in a language class where you're not allowed to speak any language? Welcome to ASL 101 (American Sign Language). No talking, no interpreter...I love it! And....Eli's back in Shakespeare! This shouldn't make me so happy...but it isn't often that there are tall, intelligent blue eyed boys in my classes...as a CIS mjor, I'm surrounded by a lot of obnoxious middle aged coder jocks...ugh. So don't begrudge me my exultations over a crush. It's the only class where it's even an option. (Sadly, the dream of meeting the sweet, smart, blue eyed, young and accented coder diminish drastically with each passing term...) |
