Masque

whirling hues of red and blue
delight wrapped up in Mystery -
night cloaked in Magic

Smiles flicker in the candlelight -
a parade of shadows dance on the walls

the music fades into a silent conversation -
as you are left alone with yourself.

The above was inspired by the mask I bought at Cirque de Soleil. (Monkia took me for my 21st birthday.) I also had my first glass of wine. First wine and a night at the circus - fitting, I think *smiles*.

Oh, and Mi Mancherai is from the score for Il Postino. I knew it had to be. And I wish life and love were like a L.M. Montgomery story. And that I was one of the heroines instead of just me.

Alas, poor Anne! I knew her, Horatio... ;)
