2006-08-26 + 10:57 p.m. I was going through my old Angelfire account, and I found all these old graphics, mostly from my time at The Site Fights. I was so childish, it's rather embarrassing. And there was something else. A photo of a pink rose. I honestly thought I had deleted it along with all the e-mails and cards and everything else. But there it was. I really do regret how poorly I handled it. I don't know why I was so surprised when it - and just what exactly was it? - ended. I knew months earlier that we - especially I - were dreaming on borrowed time. And when you stop to look back at it, it was all so naieve and laughable. And that so doesn't look like it's spelled correctly. But there was a pink rose. And there was a spark at the very beginning unlike anything I've ever experienced. I think it was one Kindred Spirit reaching out and rejoicing in finding the other. Not love, not romance, but it's own kind of magic. Everyone should experience it at least once in their life.
